WHAT IT IS

What is articulation therapy?

Articulation therapy helps children learn how to correctly produce speech sounds so they can be understood more easily by others. Clear speech supports confidence, learning, and social connection.

A child may benefit if they:

  • Are difficult to understand compared to peers
  • Substitute, omit, or distort sounds (e.g., "wabbit" for "rabbit")
  • Have a lisp or unclear /s/, /r/, /l/, or sound blends
  • Become frustrated when others don't understand them
  • Have been told they'll "grow out of it" — but haven't

My treatment philosophy:

  • Research-based treatments tailored to each child's individual needs
  • Personal 1:1 sessions to make meaningful progress efficiently
  • Early detection and early treatment — no catching up later
  • Family and caregiver involvement built into the process
  • Carryover into everyday communication — not just session drills

WHY IT'S DIFFERENT

Why choose Speech Therapy Talk?

Private therapy is different from school-based or clinic-based services. Here's what that means for your family.

Freedom

No red tape. I evaluate and design treatment plans around exactly what your child needs — not what a system allows.

Specialization

I specialize in articulation — teaching accurate sound movements and building carryover into everyday communication.

Individualized

No two children are alike. Every client gets a unique plan built around their specific speech patterns and goals.

Small practice

Families work directly with me from evaluation through therapy. Continuity, flexibility, and care that feels human — not corporate.
