Speech Therapy Activities

Speech therapy activities should be functional and meaningful and I practice what I preach at Speech Therapy Talk Services, LLC!

Before exploring this page, I want to explain a bit about my professional philosophy and what to expect. This isn't your typical speech therapy site... Find out why below!

Speech therapy should be meaningful. That is obvious but not always true!

To make speech therapy meaningful:

  • Parents MUST be involved. If you are a parent, click here to find out how to get more involved!
  • Therapy shouldn't be all about worksheets
  • For young children, therapy should be PLAY
  • For older children, therapy should involve the school curriculum and functional activities

To get speech therapy back on the right track, I created some MEANINGFUL speech therapy activities for all areas of development.

This page is always "underdevelopment" and I will add to it as I create more.

Articulation Speech Therapy Activities

Articulation or speech therapy is all about improving how a person say sounds and words. There is a systematic approach to learning how to say sounds. Learn more about it, how to practice at home, and then click on a sound to get access to free word lists and game ideas! Get started by clicking the link below.

If you want a step-by-step approach for multiple sounds with all the materials included that you may need, read about our eBook.

Late Talkers, First Words

Babies first words! How exciting and fun...unless your child is a late talker. This happy time can be stressful as you wait for first words to appear!
