Childhood Apraxia of Speech
I have a client with CAS, I wonder whether a motor approach such as DTTC may be more effective than a functional approach such as core vocabulary to treat CAS. What are your thoughts and experiences?

Yes! Clients with apraxia typically need a more "intense" approach. Taking a motor approach/DTTC is a great idea for the beginning of therapy. Once a child approaches the generalization phase, I usually move to a more functional approach. You may need to switch things up throughout the therapy program and sometimes within a single session depending on how the child is progressing for different sounds.
